![]() ![]() ![]() I’m thinking maybe it’s the disc drive? I found this disc drive when looking up videos on YouTube and the guy in the video said it needed to be flashed to a previous firmware to work but for whatever reason it worked for me out of the box so I never flashed it. I know MakeMKV rips it as a 1:1 copy, but for whatever reason when I play it in VLC and in Plex the quality just isn’t the same as the actual disc and I have no idea why. Insert your Blu-ray disc into Blu-ray drive (An UHD Blu-ray dirve is necessary for ripping 4K Blu-ray discs), Launch the program and click the Load Disc button to import the Blu-ray movies. I’m using MakeMKV to rip my movies with a Blu-ray drive that I found on Amazon called Archgon Premium Aluminum External USB 3.0 UHD 4K Blu-Ray Writer Super Drive for PC and Mac (and yes I just copy and pasted that title from Amazon). I recently just started ripping movies and putting them on my Plex server and I noticed when comparing my Blu-ray rips with the actual disc side by side the quality just isn’t the same. Hey everyone, I’m a little new to all of this so please bare with me.
